Michael Bassey Johnson once said, “True friends are those who came into your life, saw the most negative part of you, but are not ready to leave you, no matter how contagious you are to them.” Friends come and go, but how do you know if those friends are real or not? Friends can feel real but turn into a different story.
What is a friend?
A friend is one who truly cares about you in every way possible. Friends want the best for each other and encourage each other in every way possible. Friends will stick with you through your roughest times and will make you feel special to be their friend.
Real friends act very different from fake friends. Real friends will improve you as a person and guide you through a correct path. On the other hand fake friends will guide you in the wrong path and maybe even use you for what you have.
Sometimes it is hard to judge a real friend from a fake friend, but in the end you have to pay attention to who is there for you and who isn't, who stuck by your side and who left when they had the chance. Friends aren't just those to stay for entertainment, friends are who laugh, share secrets, and enjoy every single moment when they are together.
True Friends
How many true friends do you have? How do you know their "true" and not just there for your entertainment? I ask myself these question everyday about some of my friends, even though I have a small circle of friends.
Bob Marley once said, "Truth is everybody is going to hurt you: you just gotta find the ones worth suffering for." I agree with this quote because not everything your friend does will make you happy. Real friendships go through struggles, but which friendships are worth going through the struggle for? That's a question one must ask themselves. Some friends aren't worth your time, while other are worth all your time.
Look for YOUR real friends!
